The objective of this partnership is to accelerate the product development cycle and enhance operational efficiency. Sun Tekstil has been a long-standing collaborator of Refabric.

Refabric’s platform aims to integrate the complex processes of fashion creation—from initial inspiration, research, and trend analysis to design, prototyping, product development, and marketing—into a unified digital ecosystem. This integration is intended to streamline workflows for fashion professionals.

By simplifying the design process, the platform reduces the need for physical prototypes and helps preemptively identify products that may not appeal to consumers, thereby saving both time and resources.

The AI-powered software is designed to convert conceptual ideas into tangible designs, creating collections that align with current trends by synthesizing keywords, inspirational images, technical sketches, and patterns.

Elvan Ünlütürk, Chairperson of Sun Tekstil, stated, “We believe technology is the future of sustainable design and production. We are adapting to the fast-evolving fashion landscape and fully supporting the digital transformation of the fashion and textile industry.

“By incorporating AI into our design and collection processes with Refabric, we are speeding up our design timelines, refining our collections, and ensuring a more efficient use of resources, all while supporting sustainability. This investment underscores our commitment to digitalization and a transformative approach to sustainability in the industry.”

Begüm Doğru Öztekin, co-founder and CEO of Refabric, emphasized the importance of their collaboration with Sun Tekstil in strengthening sustainability and advancing digital innovation within the fashion sector.

“The projects we have undertaken with Sun Tekstil illustrate the transformative potential of AI in the fashion and textile industry,” she noted.

Following the project’s completion, where Refabric refined its design tools based on feedback from industry experts, Sun Tekstil reported a significant reduction in the production of physical samples, resulting in substantial time and cost savings.

Sun Tekstil also mentioned that it generates approximately 1,000 new designs each month and maintains five design offices across three countries to meet customer demands.
